A. When did you join Home from Home?
2011

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
Both my wife and I have always had dogs and it seemed, at the time, to be the perfect opportunity to have animals in the flat without the commitment full time. We both work from home so the dogs are a great excuse to pull ourselves away from work mode and to take a contemplative walk around the various parks that surround us.

C. What do you like most about working with us?
Home from Home are always efficient and understanding. They know what we’re looking for and I guess they do the same for their clients thus making them the best in their business.

A. When did you join Home from Home?
I joined Home from Home in 2006 and have looked after many, many dogs for them since then.

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
Our beautiful dog Jessie died suddenly at the young age of 7 and we couldn't just imagine replacing this really special dog. We started to look after our local dog-walking friends dogs when they went away, and volunteered with the Cinnamon Trust. Home from Home was suggested to us, so we decided then to work with them. It is an ideal way to enjoy fun canine companionship, get paid, and be able to go away ourselves when we want to.

C. What do you like most about working with us?
The best thing about working with Home from Home is that they have both a very professional and caring approach to the business of looking after dogs in their care. I was very impressed when applying to join them. They visited us in our home, checking thoroughly to see if we, and our home was up to the job. We get to experience and find out about different dog breeds. We love our little dog friends staying with us, and have many repeat bookings. It's always a pleasure discussing bookings over the phone with Home from Home, catching up on how everyone is doing. We only look after small dogs, and are never asked to do otherwise. They are always available to help if it's needed, making it very reassuring all round.

A. When did you join Home from Home?
I joined in 2014

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
The reason for joining was that my much loved dog had died, I really missed everything about her. Not feeling ready to have my own dog, I thought how lovely it would be to look after other peoples.

C. What do you like most about working with us?
Home from Home offers support and back up that can be called upon at all times. Mostly everything goes smoothly, but on the odd occasion that it doesn't, then help is always at hand.

May 2013

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
For me as a person who loves animals and being around them. As it happens it's one of the best things I have done and put my time to doing. I certainly hope to be with the team for the foreseeable and very much hope to do so. The tasks and rewards this type of work, enjoyment it gives you is personal satisfaction. What I like is the fact of getting the best of both worlds, i.e. a bit of income to support oneself and the fact of different dogs all the time.

C. What do you like most about working with us?
I like the fact a carer can make choices as to what dog they wish to take on. To sum up, Home from Home are a great team to work for and get to know as well.

Reviews

I have started using 'Home from Home' now for last few months (for a long trip to Turkey and short trips back home to Ireland) and can honestly say they have matched us with the perfect carer for our Dog. Chloe and John are superb and my dog Ella loves them! She actually gets excited when we drop her off instead of crying!

I would recommend Home from Home to anyone wanting their dog to be looked after properly.

We have boarded our 7 year old French Bulldog in many types of places over the years, because we have lived in many different cities: Seattle, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and now London.

Home from Home has been an excellent solution for us here in London. It provides consistency so our pup is not stressed, and we love that we have had the opportunity to meet the carers beforehand. It involves some planning to arrange stays before we go. Home from Home has never failed to find a spot, even on short-notice trips, which I am sure has not been particularly easy for them to arrange!

Great Customer Service! Happy dog! Happy dog-parents!
