A. When did you join Home from Home?
We joined Home from Home in 2014.

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
We decided to look after other people's dogs when our own dog died and left a big gap in our lives. Being busy retired people, we didn't want another full time dog, so looking after other people's dogs was the answer. We can still enjoy our busy lives and look after some lovely dogs at the right times for us!

C. What do you like most about working with us?
The best thing about working with Home from Home is getting to know so many different breeds of dog, and their lovely owners. The staff at HfH are always very helpful and make me feel that I'm actually speaking to a good friend on the phone.

A. When did you join Home from Home?
May 2015

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
We lost both our Leonbergers in 2014, they both reached the grand old age of 10. We were very sad and they left a considerable void in our lives. We did not feel ready to have another dog ourselves but missed the companionship, fun and sometimes chaos that they brought.
We were aware of Home from Home and the concept of caring for other people's dogs, we already looked after friends and families pets we thought this may work for us.
We have loved caring for the dogs we have had stay with us and continue to enjoy having them. They are all so unique and we get to experience the many qualities of breeds that we may never have encountered. It is a privilege to have been entrusted with their care.

C. What do you like most about working with us?
We have enjoyed working with Home from Home because its “easy”. The staff are both polite, professional and easy to get on with. There are strict guidelines to protect both their Customers and Carers. If we have any queries or concerns they are always ready to listen and assist with a resolution and it’s good to know we have the backing should there ever be any emergency, couldn’t wish for anymore!

Charlie and Dee live in Albany Park, Kent

A. When did you join Home from Home?
We started with the agency in March 2012

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
After the death of our dear old Staffie 'Charlie', Dee and I decided not to get another dog, but that it would be lovely to look after other people's dogs. An old friend had done it for years privately and enjoyed it, but we thought it would be more professional to do it through the agency. Also it suited my own work/career situation, being at home and able to look after them.

C. What do you like most about working with us?
Having the Agency there for back-up, advice etc is invaluable. The cheery chats with Lorna, Sasha and everyone make it like a big happy family, so whilst it's all handled very professionally, and you do all the nitty gritty of taking the bookings, it means we can welcome the dogs and their owners like friends.

Dawn and Nigel live in Dartford, Kent

A. When did you join Home from Home?
We joined Home from Home about 10 years ago.

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
We love dogs, but because we sometimes go abroad, we did not have the time to care for a dog of our own properly 365 days a year.

C. What do you like most about working with us?
Informal, friendly communications with people that share our love of dogs.

Theresa lives in Bexleyheath, Kent

A. When did you join Home from Home?
I joined Home from Home in the summer of 1996.

B. What made you decide that you wanted to look after other people’s dogs?
I had a Boxer for 10 years and absolutely adored him. When he eventually expired I vowed never to have another dog of my own, as quite frankly, it is too painful when they go.
It is an absolute pleasure looking after the dogs that other people own. Over the years I have met some really lovely dog owners and their gorgeous animals, it has been a pleasure!

C. What do you like most about working with us?
All of the people that I have had contact with at Home from Home appear to me to be both efficient and dedicated. So well done Martin for producing such a good team!

Dog Boarding

Reviews

Roxie had a wonderful time at David's in Chislehurst. She was really well cared for by the whole family. She particularly had a great time getting to know their tortoises!

Home from Home dog boarding is the best kind of care for your furry best friend while you are away on holiday!

Mrs R, Kent- August 2016

I have used Home from Home several times and have never been disappointed; my dogs were looked after as I would have looked after them, they are my world and I hate leaving them.

The ladies who looked after them last time were so upset they were leaving, they were lovely to my dogs and were clean, spoilt rotten and cuddled a lot. They had got them treats and really went out of their way for them.

I would recommend this service for every dog owner.
