Who are DogLost?

DogLost helps reunite dogs with their owners. Started in 2003, after the founder Jayne Hayes lost her Frenchie, it has assisted over 80,000 owners to be reunited with their pets. It is the UK's largest lost and found dog service and best of all they are free!

DogLost can assist you in the search for your missing dog by putting your details onto their website and then notifying their national network of support workers and volunteers to help search for your dog.

The DogLost Forum...

Your dog’s details will be automatically entered onto their forum "dogs lost". The site regularly checks for replies and also updates other users on your progress.

They also suggest you make contact with other owners (with the same breed of dog) as they may be getting information on sightings of dogs thought to be theirs that are actually someone else's lost dog. Also dog owners in your area can be contacted and encouraged to put up posters and info sheets for each other’s dogs in different parts of the country.

Press Release Service

DogLost can help you with press releases and give you the telephone contact numbers of your local press and radio stations. They are also willing to speak to the press on your behalf and furnish them with the facts and the relevant contact names.

Automated Poster Delivery Service

This is also a great way of delivering your posters in the area. They can automatically email your poster to helpers within a 30-mile radius of where your dog was lost. Again, the beauty about DogLost is that there is absolutely no charge for this service as they rely on donations.

DogLost are the ‘emergency service’ for all owners who have lost, or indeed found, a dog. They do invaluable work and rely on volunteers and donations.
